3D printing is popping up a lot in the news lately. It has been around for quite some time, but printers are getting cheap enough for most consumers to afford one. I started using 3D printing at Siggraph in New Orleans in 2000. At that time, the printing material was a green foam, but the medical industry was already using resins, etc. Shapeways is one of the biggest 3D printers and they now print in a variety of materials, including steel, brass and bronze.
I created a 3D printed ring shop through them and designed a few rings. Please click here to view and purchase. The NOLA Claddagh rings are currently available at The Irish House.
